MP-youth dialogue was really really inspirational
Taught me to appreciate
To be content
To empathize
Not just w the less fortunate
But with  the gvt too I guess and it's policies
It's nice to hear from mrs teo how and why things work and how they can be improved/what the gvt is working on improving
And understand the current social trends
And economics haha both of em are my all time faves
I like to know why and how they work
I just wanna know, and I'd accept it
And I find it even more ridiculous now- how ppl still protest and the people who do
I think those people are just ignorant and...zzz
If things are so easy to do then you go do them
It's really amazing, how our country evolved from a small country to what we are today
Hearing the older volunteer in his 50s-60s (though its a youth thing hahaha) share his experience on how Singapore changed
Life, education and jobs in the 60s, 70s
And lookin at us now
Sure maybe other places look nicer and brighter
The grass is always greener on the other side
But for now
I'm grateful I live in this small country
With crammed trains
Multi races
And I sound over patriotic now oops HAHAHAHA but I'm just grateful
And after today I will learn to appreciate everything we have even more
Mrs Teo said that new trains are coming 2014-2015
30% capacity increase in carriages
The completion of downtown line and construction of the newer line coming up alr costs tens of billions (I shan't specify)
Even without so, compared to the 60s-80s times of non-airconditioned buses and all that
I am thankful we even have e abilities now to enjoy air con.
Shouldn't we appreciate that instead of complaining of smells in packed trains or idk what other funny things ppl can pick on
To be born in this place is a blessing from God
Thank you Father.(:

Widened horizons
Broadened perspectives
That's my drive to learn (:
